Native to Honduras through Venezuela and Ecuador it is found at 2500 - 6000 feet. It is a small sized plant having no psuedobulbs with fan shaped leaves. This cultivar is  larger than 3 inches with a single, waxy, long lasting fragrant (cedar fragrance) flower per stem. Grow this shady and intermediate and never let it dry out. Blooming size divisions.
