Eria ornata is found from 1000 feet to 5000 feet elevations through out South East Asia from hot to cool temps and shady growing conditions and requires high humidity, never drying out. The individual 1 inch flowers are very fragrant like vanilla and not as showy as the bright orange to red bracts of the inflorescence which can be up to 18 inches long. These are easy growers and are blooming size divisions.
