As the name implies variabilis comes in a number of different colors and is a very rewarding and easy, compact grower. It is found at elevations of 1500 to 7000 feet and thus can tolerate a wide range of temperatures. We grow ours at intermediate temperatures and partial shade with ample humidity. This cute mini has a clumping growth habit and can be mounted or potted. The flowers are small but bright, about 3/4 inch in size with a fresh mowed grass like fragrance. These are blooming size divisions.
