Bulbophyllum Jersey is a primary hybrid with echinolabium and lobbii. Echinolabium has one of the largest flowers of all the Bulbophyllums, up to 16 inches. They both have 2 inch, egg-shaped pseudobulbs and are found at elevations of 700 to 7000 feet in Borneo, Indonesia, and Malaysia. It does best with intermediate to warm temperatures and part shade. It has hybrid vigour and can quickly grow to specimen size plants. The single flower is fragrant (stinky) and is up to 8 inches in size and being a successive bloomer can be in flower for months.
