Brassavola nodosa is found throughout Central America, northern South America and parts of the Caribbean islands as a vigorous, hardy, epiphytic orchid growing from sea level to 1800 foot elevations. They do best with intermediate to warm temps, bright light and good humidity but are tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions. If in pots, let them dry out and if mounted they require more watering. The flowers are up to 4 inches with a wonderful citrus fragrance at night, blooming in the spring and summer. Ours are blooming size divisions.
