Encyclia amanda is found from southern Mexico and Belize south to Panama at elevations of 1500 to 4000 foot elevation as a relatively small sized plant. It blooms in winter with 3/4 inch flowers on a multi branched inflorescence to two feet tall. It wants intermediate to warm temps and bright light to 2800 footcandles and a slight winter rest. These are out of pot and blooming size.
