Polystachya pubescens is found in South Africa at elevations of 4000 to 5000 feet as a small epiphytic and sometimes lithophytic plant. It has a long lasting inflorescence as the many flowers open sequentially. It is best grown at intermediate to warm temps and in partial shade with no winter rest. These are blooming size divisions.
