Stanhopea napoensis is found in eastern Ecuador at lower elevations to 1300 feet in hot and humid Amazon lowlands. The flowers are fragrant and are up to 9 inches with seldom more than 4 to an inflorescence. We grow them wet with good air circulation and intermediate temps and shady about 900 footcandles of light. These are blooming size in 4 inch pots.
